My Aunt Bev never met a stranger. She was to wild, fun and spontaneous for the definition of stranger to be in her vocabulary. She had a heart of gold, give the shirt off her back to anyone language.
She gave me my first dance lesson - The Mash Potato. We would all stand in the middle of her living room floor on Hood Road and Mash it out together for hours. That’s probably still one of my best dance moods to date!!
Super Bowl XXII - The year 1988.
Washington Redskins VS The Broncos. She taught me that when the National Anthem starts playing, you stand up, shut your mouth, and put your hand over your heart. That has stuck with me my whole life.
She was the best Aunt any child would have wanted.
She have full on food fights with us!.. I’m talking the real deal kinda thing!!.. They got messy, clean up was awful and Charlie hated it but thanks to her I got to experience something most kids would never.
Aunt Bev - Thanks for the life lessons, the wisdom, the get my ass in gear and get it done attitude.
I’ll miss our conversations. I’ll miss your McDonald’s until Friday store credit. I’ll miss watching you paint and learning from it. I’ll miss your contagious laugh. I’ll miss your crafty talents and your sometimes inappropriate jokes. Most of all I’ll miss you! May you RIP - I loved you very much! Sorry I didn’t get to tell you as much as I should have.
