Barbara Ann Jett's Obituary
Barbara Ann Jett, 69, of King George County, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020.
Barbara was a truly special woman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and good friend to all she met. She loved with all her heart but was not afraid to speak her mind when the situation needed it. She enjoyed many things in life, but none more so than her family and babysitting for grandchildren and for many family friends. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and family get togethers. She was an excellent cook and loved seafood, especially crabs. Crab season was probably her favorite time of the year. She was a hard-working woman who poured her soul into everything she did, and her strong will always led her to the truth.
Barbara leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Robert Lee Jett of King George; two daughters, Michelle Staples (Daniel) of King George, and Rhonda Stanton (Greg) of Rixeyville; son Robert Lee “Bubba” Jett Jr., of King George; two brothers, Bernard Reed Bowling (Joy), and Audrey Luther Bowling (Pat), all of Covington; three sisters, Ruth Childers and Darlynn (Penny) Ammens both of Spotsylvania County and Edna (Cookie) Midura of Connecticut; 11 grandchildren, Brittany, Danielle, Travis, Jocelyn, Heather, Brianna, Leah, Austin, Jackson, Aidan, and Jocelyn; as well as many other close family members and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by six brothers, John Henry Martin, Jr., James Rodney Bowling, Gerald Wayne Bowling, Bobby Ammens, Roger Ammens, and David Ammens.
