Barbara Jean Coffey's Obituary
Barbara Jean (Tanner) Coffey, 67, of Reva died at her residence on Saturday March 27, 2010. She was born June 25, 1942 in Novum, VA to the late Russell S. Tanner, Sr. and the late Ella Pearl (Dodson) Tanner.
Mrs. Coffey was a well known caterer in Madison and Rappahannock Counties for many years, she also enjoyed working in her garden.
She is survived by her husband Gary L. Coffey, her children Tammy Moore, Harvey Bowen, Michael Bowen, Sr. and step son Gary Lee Coffey, Jr.
Additional survivors are her siblings Hazel Haines, Anna Mae Lawson and Edward Wayne Tanner, her eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Betty Ann Tanner, and brothers Wallace Tanner, Russell S. Tanner, Jr. and Charles D. Tanner.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 1p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral chapel with Rev. Jeff Light officiating.
Interment will follow at Novum Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bowen, Jr., David Coffey and Pat Coffey, Edward Moore, III, Edward Moore, IV and Caley Moore.
