Uncle Gus, what a pleasure it was for Mom (Eloise), Gail, and myself to see and talk with you before you "went home". It was wonderful to see our cousins and aunts and uncles too. It has been a long journey but, now, you are home and it is time to rest. We will always love and miss you. Remember, we intend on seeing you again..Love always, Harriet, Gail and your sis, Eloise..

Dave and I will always remember this wonderful man as our Papa Gordon! Papa was a man of faith who took God at His Word! A man who truly loved his wife as Christ loves the Church and gave such an example of this until it has left a lasting impression on the hearts of many!!! Papa could tell true stories about his family especially his daughters when they were growing up and make you laugh and cry all at the same time! When Papa looked at the love of his life you could see without a doubt that he indeed cherished his gift from God and that his love for her never faded! I've heard John Hagee say many times that we will one day hear that he is dead and gone and he ask that we not believe one word of it because his last breath here would be his first in glory and I know this truth is the same for Papa. We consider ourselves blessed to have known a man who sincerely lived, laughed and loved the way Papa did!!! We are praying that the God of Comfort will walk with each of you everyday and bring you His peace. Sincerely,

Poppa Gordon, and his lovely wife, were two of the most sincerest, genuine examples of a marriage unit that I've seen in the Body of Christ. Though two walked together, they were one! He walked very proudly - KNOWING, that he had a real "Lady" on his arm! Poppa Gordon had a genuine smile that matched his heart - a man of joy and contentment for who he was in Christ. I just loved how he loved his wife, as Christ loves the church!!! I loved how he loved the Lord - nothing pretentious. My heart goes out to the family, as I know you will miss him. Remember, you didn't lose a husband, father and grandfather - as you will always know where he is - Resting In Peace, until we are all joined with him, in the Presence of the Almighty God of this Universe. Jesus Christ paid his price and ours! Find comfort in knowing that we will see Poppa Gordon again.. May the peace of God rule your hearts and the "Comforter" assist you during your grieving period - knowing, that he has fulfilled his destiny on earth - he emulated Christ very well.
