Like many others, Mrs. Corbin was my teacher for Physics and Chem2. She warmly but firmly pushed us to do science projects each year, which allowed us to explore the scientific method and compete in regional and state science fairs. She helped each student come up with a project and she was extremely generous with her time after school while we collected the data. She was famous among us for her stories about Beryllium, and her 7 Masters Degrees. We were all in awe of her as a person, a teacher, and a human being. For many of us, she was a lifelong inspiration.

Mrs. Corbin was my Physics and Chem 2 teacher at Falls Church High School in 1978 and 1979. She influenced so many students both intellectually and emotionally. I think of her often and wish my children had been fortunate enough to have experienced her kindness, compassion, zest for learning and love of life. Being in her classes is one of the great blessings in my life.
