Allen Wayne Hays' Obituary
Allen Wayne Hays, 68, of Spotsylvania County, passed away at Mary Washington Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Allen loved spending time with his family. His wife, children and grandchildren were his world. Allen especially enjoyed traveling with his family, building birdhouses, and taking care of everyone around him.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda; a daughter, Cindy Staples (Tommy) of Stafford County; two sons, Chris Hays (Allison) and Shawn Hays, all of North Carolina; three brothers, Wayne Hays (Carol) of Culpeper, James Hays (Helen) of South Carolina, and Gary Hays (Nancy) of Texas; five cherished grandchildren, Sarah, Lindsey, Trey, Brett and Oliver; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 12714 Elk Run Rd, Midland, VA 22728, where a memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Peyton Embrey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Allen’s name to the Prosthetic Empowerment Group, 15116 Parkwood Circle, Orange, VA 22960 or Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 12714 Elk Run Rd, Midland, VA 22728.
