Allen Ray Britt's Obituary
Allen Ray Britt, 74, of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at his home.
Allen was born May 17, 1939 in Gwinneth County, Georgia to the late Marion Davis and Rache Ezzard Britt. He was the fifth of nine siblings.
Allen graduated in 1957 from Chamblee High School and in 1968 from Tennessee Temple College. At the age of 17, he accepted Christ’s call to salvation and soon after accepted Christ’s call to ministry. He has ministered to congregations in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, where he started and was the pastor at New Testament Baptist Church. He has also ministered in Christian schools in Virginia and West Virginia, where he founded and administered Barbour Christian Academy.
Allen was married to the former, Jennie Lee Aiello. He is survived by his wife; one son, Andrew Allen Britt, of Chester; two grandsons, Andrew and Dalton Britt; three brothers, Warren Greg Britt, of Bethlehem, Georgia, Thom Britt, of Dallas, Texas, and Rache Britt, of Fredericksburg; and two sisters, Ethel Garmon, of Statham, Georgia, and Rachel Cobb, of Monroe, North Carolina.
Allen’s family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church, 4105 Plank Road, Fredericksburg. Interment will be held at a later date in Georgia.
