Winfield Leonard Schindel's Obituary
Winfield Leonard Schindel, 91, of King George County passed away peacefully at Commonwealth Senior Living, where he resided for the past three years.
He was a proud Air Force Veteran who served a deployment in Japan. Leonard had a long career at A&P Grocery where he was a department manager.
Leonard is survived by his son, Windy Schindel; daughter, Cindy Simmons; granddaughters, Christa Rorrer (Roger), Nikki Lewis, and Angela Stafford; sister, Rose Bailey; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Audrey Schindel.
Leonard’s family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Fletcher’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 8330 Fletcher’s Chapel Road, King George, where the funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the FBRA Erosion Fund, P. O. Box 183, King George, VA 22485.
