Wilmer Lee Hartman's Obituary
Wilmer Lee Hartman, 76, of Stanardsville died Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Martha Jefferson Hospital after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born March 30, 1942 in Romney, WV to the late Wilbert Hartman, Sr. and Mary Strawderman Hartman.
Mr. Hartman owned and operated “Ultimate Drywall” for almost 25 years. He was an avid NASCAR and Redskins fan and absolutely loved Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley.
He is survived by four children, William E. Hartman of Buffalo, NY, Lynda C .Hartman of Culpeper, Wilson E. Hartman of Stanardsville, and Melissa A. Hartman and her fiancé, Randall Gray of Roanoke; two brothers, Kenneth and Richard Hartman; and one sister, Judy Hartman.
Additional survivors include five grandchildren, Nichole Harlow, Jeanette Ontiveros, Brandon Hartman, Sean Morgan and Scott Morgan; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his estranged second wife, Anita Clyburn Hartman and her children, Melissa, Lisa, Becky and Matt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, the love of his life and mother of his children, Nella M. Hartman; and six siblings, Stella, Catherine, Betty, Evelyn, Dorothy, and Wilbert Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Ron Young officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
