William Roscoe Moore's Obituary
William Roscoe Moore, 76, of Culpeper died Friday, June 20, 2008 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 18, 1931 in Wise, Virginia to the late Charles Moore and Deelie Frances Phillips Moore.
Mr. Moore served in the military in Korea and was a member of VFW Post 4301 in Norton, Virginia. He was a member of Hazel River Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Pam Nichols of Culpeper, Carolyn “Susie” Corbin of Madison, Georgia Settle of Elkwood and Sandra Kay Moore of Winchester, and two sons, Ronald Moore of Culpeper and Gary Moore of Indiana. Additional survivors include fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Moore, and a granddaughter, Teresa Marr.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the Found and Sons chapel with Rev. Herb Leach officiating.
Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery.
Mr. Moore’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Military honors will be provided at the graveside by Culpeper American Legion Post 330 and VFW Post 2524.
