William Albert Carswell, Jr.'s Obituary
William Albert Carswell, Jr., 69, of Culpeper died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at his residence. He was born February 19, 1939 in Jacksonville, FL to William A., Sr. and Evelyn Rion Carswell.
Mr. Carswell was an Eagle Scout of which he was very proud. He graduated from Duke University in 1960 and later went on to serve in the U.S. Army and as a civilian during the Vietnam War. He retired from SAIC with over 20 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia Hasty Carswell, four children, Christopher Carswell and his wife, Chris, of Frederick, MD, Robert Carswell and his wife, Nina, of Great Falls, VA, Kathryn Carswell of Culpeper, VA and Gretchen Carswell of Arlington, VA.
Additional survivors include two siblings, Rion Carswell of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Evelyn Thomas of Jacksonville, FL, and four grandchildren, James, Samantha, Michael and Luke, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
