William Delbert Whitehurst Sr.'s Obituary
William Delbert Whitehurst, Sr., 76, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR.
William is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rosemary Whitehurst; three sons, William Whitehurst, II of Chesapeake, Kevin Gallahan of Stafford County, and Robert Whitehurst of West Virginia; three daughters, Oberta McDonaldson and Mac of Richmond, Malinda Shiner and husband, Daniel of Woodford, and Summer Koonce and husband, Kevin of Front Royal; and a host of other family and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emily Whitehurst; four sisters, Ella Mae, Millie, Shug, and Merna; and a son, Larry.
William’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
