William Tyler's Obituary
William H. Tyler, 95, of Washington, D.C. died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Culpeper Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born August 28, 1915 in Gordonsville, VA to the late Andrew and Lillian Tyler.
Mr. Tyler was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C. He was a certified public accountant and was also in the military. He received his BA of Science in Accounting from Southeastern University and a Masters Degree from George Mason University. He was a hardworking man who cared deeply for his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna J. Tyler. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie, Jack, Laney and Robert and sisters, Maude, Helen and Ethel.
He is survived by his loving nieces, Grace Johnson of Culpeper whom he resided with until his death and Madeline Johnson of Gordonsville, VA, his surrogate nephew, Freddie Shanks, caregiver, Ruth Williams and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Nathan Butler officiating. A one hour visitation will be held prior to the service.
The family will meet at Pleasant Valley Memorial Park, 8420 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003 on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 12 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Freddie Shanks, Charles Johnson, Raymond Kirkley, Jr., Brandon Kilby, Allan Williams, Sr. and Larry Kilby, Sr. Honorary pallbearer will be Steve R. Brown.
