William Howard Miller's Obituary
William Howard “Bill” Miller, 85, of Ruckersville, Virginia, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on March 11, 2025. He was born January 26, 1940, in Shamokin, Pennsylvania.
Bill was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran and later attended Gettysburg College in PA. He then embarked on a distinguished career spanning over 50 years as a Realtor and Broker, owning and operating The Real Estate Store in Fairfax, Virginia. His professional life was a testament to his hard work and commitment.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bill cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Margaret; their children, David, Sandra, and Karen (Mike); and his brother, Scott. He leaves behind a legacy of love as a grandfather (“Papa”) to nine grandchildren—Skyler, Brianna, Ashley (Mitchell), Alexis, Garrett, Rachel, and Hayley (David)—and one great-grandchild, Henry.
He was predeceased by his grandchildren, Erik Rinehart and Samantha Souder.
Bill’s passions extended beyond his family and career. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, cruises, softball, family gatherings, trips to Disney World, and especially trips to the beach with his family. His warm spirit and generous heart touched countless lives.
Bill’s memory will be forever cherished. A private prayer service will be held at the time of his interment at Saint Benedictine, Place of Peace Columbarium in Bristow, Virginia.
His legacy of dedication, love, kindness, and generosity will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
