We had the pleasure of meeting Lanny, Deb and the family when we joined Jupiter Evangelical Free Church in 2000. We had the pleasure to witness him perform his perfect kitchen utensils impressions in one of the talent shows we produced as part of our youth group. Lanny was always a great listener, wonderful friend and amazing orator. He always had his doors opened to us. As years passed, we lost touch, but we have always kept his wide smile and amazing voice in our minds and hearts.

Thank you so much for allowing us to celebrate in the Joy of Celebration of Pastor Lanny and in our Savior. I miss his wit wisdom and Love, and prayer the Love of God and his family in Christ surrounds Deborah and his family. It was difficult for us in his Hutchinson Church family when he was called to be back home for his own family and we all missed him and Deborah greatly. Being a "Churchmen" as Deborah put it is a high calling and a fitting title for our Pastor.
I also wanted to share I was particularly moved by his daughter sharing God's wisdom in all this and her sharing helps heal some of my personal burdens.
We Love and miss the Penwell family and look forward to when we are all together again in celebration with our Lord and Savior! I attached a photo of Pastor Lanny Baptising my son Noah. Take a special note of the baseball cap pastor Lanny is wearing. SKOL VIKINGS!

It was a blessing to have met and known Pastor Lanny Penwell, also to have heard many of his sermons at Jupiter Evangelical Church and Lifesong Community Church. From the first visit to Jupiter Evangelical Church I felt welcomed and decided that this would be my Church that I would be a part of. I am saddened to hear that Pastor Lanny is no longer here with his wife Deb and family. But I know that both his family and also his church family are comforted in knowing that the Lord has called him home and in the Lord's presence, I think that he heard the words " Well Done, my son"
