William "Bill" Lamprinakos' Obituary
William “Bill” Lamprinakos, 57, of Spotsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bill, or “Lumpy” to his friends, worked as an Amtrak Locomotive Engineer for 35 dedicated years. He was a true Girl Dad – he wanted you to think he was tough, but under the hard exterior was a softness only seen by a few. Bill was a diehard New York Giants fan. He could fix and build anything and loved to work on muscle cars. Bill loved to travel, especially to the ocean and to enjoy Bike Week or a car show.
He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Jennifer Osborne Lamprinakos; his three daughters, Terri Lamprinakos (David), Amanda Lamprinakos and Janie Ortega (Adam); his stepson, Mark Adkins (Alyssa); his stepdaughter, Rachael Dreistadt; three grandchildren, Athan, Lexi and Maeve; his sister, Karen Crites (Jake); his brother, John Lamprinakos; and numerous, nieces, nephews and other loving extended family.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, George and Inez Lamprinakos.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org/donate
