William T. Johnson's Obituary
William T. Johnson, 77, known to his friends as "Tex" and a lifelong resident of Spotsylvania County, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Johnson was a union carpenter, retired from local Union 1078 in Fredericksburg. He served with the 101st Airborne Army during the Korean War. He also served with the 189th Engineering Company National Guard.
Tex is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy L. Johnson; three children, Deborah Haley, Phillip Johnson and Pamela Johnson; five grandchildren, Tabatha Richmond, Robert Haley Jr., Phillip Johnson Jr., Desirae Haley and Claudia Hicks; and seven great-grandchildren, all residents of Spotsylvania. He also leaves behind one brother, Johnny Frank of Mineral.
A private service for the immediate family has been arranged with Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation services in Fredericksburg.
The family would like to give thanks to the Spotsylvania Fire and Rescue team.
