William Jay Jarrells Sr.'s Obituary
William Jay Jarrells, Sr., 88, of Culpeper, VA passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024 at his residence. He was born May 10, 1936 to the late James Preston and Dorcas Mae Jarrells in Pulaski, VA.
William is survived by his wife of 65 years, Janet Jarrells; children, Lisa Jarrells, William Jay Jarrells, Jr., Robert Lee Jarrells (Ginger), Jeffery Jarrells, and Michael Alan Jarrells; brothers, James Jackson Jarrells (Earlene) and Roger Lee Jarrells; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his brother, Hensil Jarrells; sister, Peggy Jane Jarrells; and one great- great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 1, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Chaz Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery, New Section, 501 E. Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA with military honors provided by VFW Post 2524.
