William Oliver Drumgoole's Obituary
On April 7, 2025, William Oliver Drumgoole (aka: Super Fly or just Fly) joined our Lord and Savior in eternal peace. William was the son of William Henry Drumgoole and Minnie Matt Cook
William, a.k.a. Superfly, attended Culpeper County Public schools. By Trade William was a handyman, doing work, consisting of landscaping, painting, and patching.
William was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Luther Cook and Ruth Dinkins; his paternal grandparents, Wesley Drumgoole and Annie Gray; his four sisters, Lillie Mae Cook, Virginia Cooke, Grace Ann Cook, and Patricia Ann Hammons; one brother, Jackson “Bubba” Drumgoole; aunts, Elizabeth Puller, Molly Gordon, Ruth Reaves; uncles, Luther Cook, Robert Stanton, George Gordon, Sr., Sanford Reaves, Sr., and Charlie Puller, Sr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
William loved his family, friends, and being outdoors. In late February, William was diagnosed with an aggressive throat cancer, but he did not give up. He fought with strength and determination, but the fight proved to be too much, he got tired of fighting, and now he does not have to fight anymore. He can rest with ease, no more pain, no more fight gone but not forgotten!
William leaves to mourn three nieces, Talatha, Teresa, and Jeanette; three nephews, Christopher, Brian, and Lee; 12 great nieces; 10 great nephews; six great, great nephews; and six great, great nieces; and a host of cousins, famil,y and friends. Also, he leaves a very special friend and, as William would say, more like a sister, Cheryl Clark.
