William "Bill" David Kemble's Obituary
William “Bill” David Kemble, 76, of Culpeper, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late James and Dorothy Kemble.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Bill served his country with honor and carried the values of dedication, strength, and integrity throughout his life. He was also a devoted member of American Legion Post 330, where he enjoyed the fellowship of fellow veterans and remained committed to supporting those who served.
While Bill took great pride in his military service, nothing brought him greater joy than being "Pops." His grandchildren were truly his life, and his world revolved around them. He treasured every moment they spent together, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Whether he was watching movies with Zak, taking walks with Selina, or happily letting Selina be "the boss," Bill embraced every adventure with love, patience, and a smile. The bond he shared with his grandchildren was the greatest joy of his life, and they will forever carry his love in their hearts.
Bill will be remembered for his quiet strength, his generous heart, and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the countless memories he created, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave so freely to those fortunate enough to know him.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marlene Kemble, children, William D. Kemble, II (Nancy) and Derek Kemble, and grandchildren; Zachary “Zak” and Selina Kemble.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his twin brother, James Kemble.
A funeral service will be held on July 22, 2026, at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the VFW Post 2524.
