William "Bill" Ernest Fox Jr.'s Obituary
William “Bill” Ernest Fox, Jr. passed away January 11, 2026, at Culpeper Hospital. He was born on September 16, 1958, in Alexandria, Virginia.
Bill was a hardworking man who took great pride in everything he accomplished. Known for being stern, a man of his word, and someone who took no nonsense, he carried a true “bring it on” attitude—and he would always back it up. Yet beneath that tough exterior was a loyal heart; if you had a connection with him, you had a friend for life. He enjoyed talking with people and sharing stories, especially about the things he loved most.
A devoted father of three, he found joy in simple pleasures: a good home-cooked meal or good pizza pie and anything that satisfied his sweet tooth—especially chocolate chip cookies. He had a deep love for history, all live sporting events, and the old-time NASCAR era, cheering for legends like Terry Labonte, Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, and Bobby Allison, etc. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Orioles. Bowling was one of his greatest passions, a sport he enjoyed for more than 30 years, and country music was always close to his heart.
Bill is survived by his children, William “Billy” E. Fox, III (Jennifer), Jennifer Fox Bowman (Jeremie), James E. Fox; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings, Karen Fox, Tere Fox, Shane Miller, George Miller, Dawn Miller; and host of cousins, family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Ernest Fox, Sr. and Patricia Ann Petitt Fox Miller.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
