William Richard Bayne's Obituary
William Richard Bayne, 76, of Culpeper, VA, died Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Novant Health Systems UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born March 9, 1945, in Rappahannock County to the late Ada Grigsby Settle and Charlie W. Settle.
Richard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Frazier Bayne, his children; Melissa Marks (Tony), Ricky Bayne, and Michele Middlebrook (David), nine grandchildren; Eli Marks, Josh Marks, Nikki Bayne, Tori Bayne, Marcus Bayne, Amanda Middlebrook, Kaitlyn Middlebrook, Marissa Middlebrook, and Cody Middlebrook, great grandchildren; Levi Bayne, Lakyn Bayne, Alexandra McCloud, Logan Hoffman, Raelyn Hoffman, Karson Bayne, Novah Williams, Mila Good, and Tatum Good. Also surviving Richard are his close friends, Jimmy Soelder, Bill Kidd, and Kerry Grigsby, his trusty companion, Lyla, and a host of additional family members.
In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his sister, Edna Weakley.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randy Albritton officiating. The family would like to invite those unable to attend to join via live stream at

Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Woodville, VA.
