Dr. William Edward Bailey's Obituary
Dr. William Edward Bailey, 61, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his home.
Dr. Bailey was an excellent physician and teacher with a great sense of humor. He loved his family and enjoyed helping others.
He was born in Indiana and graduated from New York College of Osteopathist Medicine after serving in both the Air Force and Army.
Dr. Bailey is survived by his children, Lt. William E. Bailey, Jr. and Bonnie Bailey, both of New Jersey; his mother, Rosetta Feldman of Florida; two sisters, Julia Marvin and brother, Stephen Marvin, and Kathy Bailey, all of Fredericksburg; brother, Reed Harris (Lil) of Kentucky; two nephews, James and Robert Marvin; two nieces, Jennifer Glasco and Alicia Harris; two great-nephews, Ian Witschey and Alex Marvin; and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, Dr. Bailey’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude Catholic Church Building Fund, 10725 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
