Willard "Bill" Heiberger's Obituary
Willard “Bill” Heiberger, 78 of Culpeper passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Bill was born July 25, 1933 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Willard E. Heiberger and Florence Sharp Heiberger.
Bill served in the Navy and was stationed on the USS Yosemite. From that experience and education, he enjoyed a successful career in the foundry industry. He designed, built and managed a foundry for Hobart in West Liberty, Ohio. He managed various foundries and in 1988 was employed by Bingham and Taylor, where he introduced modern molding technology. After retiring he continued to be a consultant.
Bill sang A Capella as a young man and kept his passion for music. He enjoyed work, golf, working with his hands, fishing and helping others.
Bill will be missed by all who knew him, most of all by his family and his beloved dog “Mo” and Kit Kat.
He is survived by his wife Linda and her daughter Cheryl Quinn and her husband Dennis all of Culpeper. Bill’s children include; Jeff Heiberger of Urbana, Ohio, Tim Heiberger of Atlanta, Georgia, Tom Heiberger and his wife Andrea of Trafford, Alabama and his step-son, M. Delain Carroll of Indianapolis, Indiana in addition to his ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Bill is also survived by his siblings; one brother, Jim Heiberger and his wife Rene of Columbus, Ohio and one sister, Pat Finley of Castalia, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by one son, Craig Heiberger and the mother of his four boys, Patricia Lacher.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Mark Jenkins officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
