Wilda Elizabeth Grusha's Obituary
Wilda Elizabeth Grusha, 94, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Poet’s Walk Fredericksburg. She was born on November 3, 1927 to the late Bertha Viola Crider Whetzel and Brosie Raymond Whetzel.
Wilda was a graduate of Allegany High School in Cumberland, MD. She married John Grusha from Green Springs, WV on February 24, 1951.
She is survived by her husband, John Grusha; her daughter, Donna Grusha; her son, John M. Grusha and his wife, Laurie Grusha; her grandson, Quinten Grusha; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and their husbands, Marie (Whetzel) Africa, Robert Africa, Louella (Whetzel) Bean, and Russell Bean.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Wilda’s name may be sent to either the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org/donate or the Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc., P.O. Box 101, Spotsylvania, VA 22553.
