Wilbur Jackson James' Obituary
Wilbur Jackson James, 72, of Viewtown, died Sunday, May 13, 2007. He was born April 30, 1935 to the late Norvel James and Mary Estes James.
Mr. James served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Amissville Baptist Church where he was superintendent of Sunday School for over 20 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and farmed all of his life.
He is survived by six brothers, Julian James of Culpeper, William James and his wife, Sue of Richardsville, Donald James and his wife, Eleanor of Culpeper, John James and his wife, Joan of Charlottesville, David James and his wife, Millie of Flint Hill, and Elmer James of Centerville, five sisters, Elizabeth Suter and her husband, Richard of Radford, VA, Thelma James of Charlottesville, Agnes Geer and her husband, John B. of Charlottesville, Mary Ann Hughes and her husband, Mike of Kansas City, MO, Helen Forbes and her husband, Dr. Alan of Chesapeake, VA, his dog “Lucy”, and numerous nieces and nephews that loved him greatly.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Amissville Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Taylor officiating.
