Wilbert Brown, Jr.'s Obituary
Wilbert Harding Wil Brown, Jr., 70, of Woodford passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 at McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond.
Mr. Brown retired from the United States Army and from Hechinger.
Wil is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Barbara Brown; his son, Andre Wilbert Brown and his wife, Kimberly of Ladysmith; two sisters, Helen Green of Bremo Bluff, Virginia and Sallie B. Thompson of Troy, Virginia; a foster daughter, Judy Lee of Richmond and nine grandchildren, Lucy, Manny, Joshua, Mikel, Andre Cardell, Jacquel, Yolanda, Justin and Miquel.
He also leaves behind a mother-in-law; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Wil was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Mills; his stepfather, John Mills; his father, Wilbert H. Brown, Sr., his stepmother, Blanche Brown and his father-in-law, Rudolph Congo.
Wil’s family will receive friends Friday, July 24, 2009 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service celebrating Wil’s life will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11:00 am at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
