Wesley Allen Dinges' Obituary
Wesley Allen Dinges, 57, of Culpeper passed away Friday October 9, 2015 at UVA in Charlottesville following a long battle with heart disease. Wesley was born April 25, 1958 to the late Charles Dinges and Elizabeth Golladay.
Wesley was a kind, hardworking, gentle man. He enjoyed Nascar and football. It made his day to see Harvic take the checkered flag and the Steelers making a touchdown! He loved to tinker on his old truck with his canine buddy, Max, by his side. His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved family and friends. He retired from Fairfax County Public schools, after 28 years of service. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, where he enjoyed listening to the word of God every Sunday.
Wesley is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann Dinges of Culpeper. Additional survivors include two daughters Samantha Caruso and her husband Anthony of Culpeper; and Michelle Wilson and her husband Erik of Fredericksburg; two sons Paul Sites of Culpeper; and Wesley Dinges Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Gainseville.
Wesley leaves seven grandchildren as well – Abel Caruso, Austin and Cheyanne Wilson, Kaitlynn Zorn, Carolyn Sites, and Madison and Mason Dinges.
He is survived by three sisters and two brothers. Marie Loy of Virginia; Mary Colley of West Virginia; Debbie Fanning and her husband Roger of Virginia; John Connard of North Carolina; and Wayne Connard of Virginia. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a daughter Paula Zorn and a sister Joanne Dinges.
Wesley is also survived by a loving mother-in-law Catherine Fincham of Culpeper.
A funeral service will be conducted at New Salem Baptist Church on Wednesday October 14, 2015 at 2 pm with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.
