Wendell Larry Clayborne's Obituary
Wendell Larry Clayborne, 87, of Locust Grave, died Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Brookside Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 3, 1936 in Tupelo, MS to the late Walter Bynum and Mary Belle Clayborne.
Wendell was an avid golfer. He loved walking, spending time outdoors, and all kinds of sports.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Clayborne and Alan Clayborne (Christie); two brothers, Ken Clayborne and Scott Clayborne (Ursula); one sister, Janice Smith (Terry); and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Bruce Beeler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
