Wayne C Shifflett's Obituary
Wayne Shifflett, 69, of Sumerduck, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 1, 2017.
He was born August 11, 1948 to John and Velma Shifflett in Albermarle County. Wayne was a career electrician.
Wayne loved to cheer on the UVA Wahoos, the Washington Redskins and Washington Nationals. He enjoyed trout fishing, playing the guitar, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Nannette, six children, Jennifer Kelly and husband Sean, Christine Meadows and her husband Doug, Amanda Davis and her husband Kevin, and Thomas Shifflett and his wife Chrissy, a stepdaughter, Sara Craun, a stepson, John Griffith, seven grandchildren, a brother, Ronnie Shifflett, a sister Margaret Shifflett and numerous other extended family.
Wayne’s family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
Burial will be private.
