Wayne "Mike" Michael Brown Sr.'s Obituary
Wayne “Mike” Michael Brown, Sr., passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 20, 1955, in Remington, VA, to the late Russell Jackson Brown and Katherine Mae Hawkins Brown.
Mike was a truly remarkable man, whose life was defined by love, hard work, and a genuine kindness that touched all who knew him.
He was a man who found joy in the simple things—spending hours “piddling” in his workshop, collecting antiques, and bringing new life to old treasures. Gifted with skilled hands and a sharp mind, he could fix just about anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He believed in staying busy and living with purpose, whether he was tending to his beloved rose bushes, working in his vegetable garden, or enjoying time outdoors hunting.
Above all, he was devoted to his family. A loving husband of 53 years, he shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering commitment with his beloved wife. He was a proud and caring father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose love and guidance will continue to live on through the generations he cherished so deeply.
Known for his warm spirit and easy conversation, he never met a stranger. He had a special way of making people feel welcome, quickly turning acquaintances into lifelong friends. His kindness, humor, and generous heart made him someone you simply couldn’t replace.
To know him was to love him, and those who were blessed to have him in their lives will forever be grateful. He was truly one of a kind—a better man could not be asked for.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Mike was preceded in death by his siblings, Robin Burke, Russell “Jackie” Brown; brother-in-law’s, Cluster Jenkins, Jr. and Wayne Burke and grand-daughter, Haley Brown.
Mike is survived by his dedicated loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Brown; children, Kay Michelle Campbell (Chuck), Elizabeth “Boo” Harris (Harley), Kathy Cash (Travis), Wayne M. Brown, Jr. (Amber Nichols) and Tony Allen Brown (Heather Smoot); grandchildren, Josh Frazier (Stephanie), Kelsey Frazier, Charlie Brown (Brittany), Jarrett Brown (Olivia), Trevor Cash (Haley Adams), Makenzie Brown and Hunter Brown; great-grandchildren, Colton Frazier, Carson Frazier, Lily Duckett, Ella Duckett, Chloe Brown and Bentley Brown; siblings, Johnny Brown (Patty), Ronnie Brown (Sissy), Dale Brown (Faye) and Kim Powell (Don) and sister-in-law, Judy Brown and special addition grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
