Warren Edward Deal Sr.'s Obituary
Warren Edward Deal, Sr., 86, of Culpeper died May 10, 2014 at his residence. He was born April 27, 1928 in Culpeper County to the late Charles Deal and the late Vergie Frazier Deal.
Mr. Deal retired after a 42 year career with Smith Transfer as a driver and dispatcher. He was a special man who enjoyed sharing his time at the Culpeper Senior Center. He loved gardening and fishing.
He is survived by his best friend, Gladys Williams; two sons, Warren Deal, Jr. and his wife, Robin, of Hughesville, MD and James Deal and his wife, Vivian, of Springfield, and one daughter, Nancy Gallant of Woodbridge. Additional survivors include four sisters, Madeline Vanfleet and her husband, Harry, of Culpeper, Alice Gore of Culpeper, Myrtle Taylor of Arlington, and Sally Fusaldo of New York. He is also survived by several nieces.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, two brothers, Charles and Frazier Deal, and three sisters, Gladys Marshall, Helen Harvey and Lucille Fincham.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with Rev. Bradley Hales officiating.
Pallbearers will be John Lee, Frank Brown, Art Pullen, Ivan Edwards, Carroll White and Harry Vanfleet.
