Warner Lee Brooks' Obituary
Warner Lee Brooks, 65, of Boston, VA died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 9, 1944 in Bluemont, VA to the late Aubrey Elliott and Mable Roda Frye Brooks.
Mr. Brooks was a veteran of the US Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Town of Vienna Public Works for nearly 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Myrna Lee Hopkins Brooks, his son, Kevin Lee Brooks, Sr. and his wife, N’Dora, one grandson, Kevin Lee Brooks, Jr., one brother, Douglas Leo Brooks and his wife, Kelda, and his special nephews, Mark Douglas Brooks and David Hudkins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Willie Lee Frye, Charles Edward Brooks, Elizabeth Ann Brooks and James Aubrey Brooks.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Chaplain Denise Vogt officiating. A one hour visitation will be held prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper American Legion Post # 330 and V.F.W. Post # 2524.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Brooks, Kevin Brooks, Mark Brooks, David Hudkins, Richard Becker and John Keplinger.
