Wanda Sue Wichmann's Obituary
Wanda Sue Wichmann, 61, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, at her home.
Wanda was dedicated to her career with the federal government and devoted 43 years to the Marine Corps. She was smart, loving and generous, always giving to others.
Wanda loved children immensely and gave to many charities. She enjoyed reading, making crafts, Civil War history and collecting purses.
Wanda is survived by two brothers, Ronald Wichmann of Fredericksburg and Donald Wichmann of the Philippines; sister Jo Ann Hanson of Florida; two nieces, Joni Stevens and Leslie Wichmann, both of Fredericksburg; four nephews, Justin and Jonathon Hanson, both of Fredericksburg, Michael Wichmann of North Carolina, and Eric Wichmann of West Virginia; an uncle, Kenneth Wayne Rankin; and a host of other family and friends.
Wanda’s family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Rankin, Edward Rankin, Justin Hanson, Jonathon Hanson, Ronald Wichmann and Jered Cyrus.
