Wanda Lee Rutherford's Obituary
Wanda Lee Menefee Rutherford, 55, of Rixeyville peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at her residence. She was born January 3, 1961 in Rappahannock to the late Cleveland and Della Atkins Menefee.
Mrs. Rutherford was a member of Wonderful Lighthouse Worship Center where she was the matriarch of the congregation being the wife of the churches minister.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jackie Thorene Rutherford, Sr.; five children, Jesse Bean, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie of Lynchburg, Barbara Henderson and her husband, Henri of Alexandria, Ashley Rutherford and her fiancé, David Goode of Culpeper, Jackie Rutherford, Jr. and Melissa Rutherford and her husband, Billie Yancey of Culpeper; and one sister, Linda Bird of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and six great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William “Billy” and Carson Menefee; one nephew, Keith Menefee; one stepson, Rickie Rutherford; and one step grandson, Rickie Rutherford, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in Amissville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Rutherford, Jr., Dave Dove, Henri Henderson, David Goode, Garrick Rutherford and John Goode.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
