Wanda Charlene Buchner's Obituary
Wanda Charlene Pitts Buchner, 87, of Remington passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at her residence. She was born October 24, 1937 in West Virginia to the late Thurman Pitts and Juanita Faye Steel Pitts.
Wanda was a member of Our Lady of the Blue Ridge Catholic Church in Madison, VA. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She liked to travel to Kanty Prep School Reunions with her husband Ronald. Wanda was a homemaker and enjoyed helping to raise her grandchildren. She was a CNA for twenty-five years at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton, VA and Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center in Culpeper, VA.
Wanda is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Ronald Henry Buchner; son, Terry Ayers; daughter, Tanya Woodward (Stacey); son-in-law, Mark Gray; seven grandchildren, Keisha Montgomery (Edward), Kelsie Gatchel (Eric), Heather Lowrey (Todd), Galen Gray, Aaron Gray (Brittany), Brandon Gray (Destiny) and Samantha Woodward; thirteen great-grandchildren, Kelan, Kasen, Parker, Emery, Alex, Cordelia, Caroline, Autumn, Arianna, Landon, Bennett, Jeremiah and Shepherd; one sister, Charlotte Bellini; two brothers, Jim Pitts and Dean Pitts; and additional relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her daughter, Sonya Gray and her brother, John Pitts.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
