Wade Michael Olinger's Obituary
Wade Michael “Mike” Olinger, 61, of Bealeton, died Saturday, May 18, 2024 at his home. He was born January 10, 1963 in Warrenton to the late Phyllis A. and Robert E. Olinger, Sr.
Mike was a VDOT employee for 30 years. He was a gifted mechanic; there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix, but he preferred working on a Ford. He enjoyed hanging out in the garage with his fur babies, Mikey and Lily. Mike loved fishing with April and spending time together in Nags Head, their ‘happy place.” He always had a special time with his granddaughter, who called him Pop Pop.
He enjoyed going to the Carlyle, PA swap meet and truck pulls with April. Together, they were the first husband and wife pulling team (Olinger Pulling Team), and were ITPA champions in 2002, and 2003, and 3rd place in 2004, in the 6200 modified street class.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, April Lynn Olinger; two children, Dustin Enix and Chasity Enix; two grandchildren, Wynter Rose Rodriguez, and Aiden Brown; four siblings, Darlene Fay Olinger Constant, Robert E. Olinger, Jr. (Joan), Phillip Daniel Olinger (Susan), and Patricia Olinger Jacobs (Robert), and a host of nieces and nephews.
