Vivian A. Thompson's Obituary
Vivian Carter Thompson, was born in Rixeyville, VA, to the late Benjamin and Rosie B. Carter on May 7, 1930. She attended school in Rixeyville, VA. She married Roger L. Thompson, Sr. on June 7, 1947 and from this union, was blessed with four children. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Rixeyville, VA, until her health prevented her from attending service.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all.
Vivian was a domestic worker until retirement. She loved gardening. She had many flower beds with beautiful flowers not only outdoors but house plants also. Many days you could finer her sitting on the patio enjoying her flowers.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Joyce, Carolyn (Joseph) and Larry; six grandchildren, Timothy (Crystal), Dana (Shera), Theotis (Sharnita), Tiffany (Dre), Tiara (Devon), Tamra (Mark); eight great-grand kids; sister, Blondell White (Fisher); two very special friends, Roxanne Robinson and Juliet Everett; one very close friend, Cherry Vannaman who was like a sister.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Thompson, Sr. and son, Roger Thompson, Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Bishop Harold Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
