Virginia Johnston Thornhill's Obituary
Virginia Johnston Thornhill, 91, of Boston, Virginia died Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Autumn Care in Madison. She was born April 8, 1924 in Rappahannock County to the late George Amos Johnston and the late Lucille Smith Johnston.
She is survived by four daughters: Anne Carpenter and her husband, Ronnie, of Brightwood; Nancy Boyd and her husband, Ronnie, also of Brightwood; Mary Jane Gray and her husband, Arthur, of Culpeper, and Linda Thornhill of Charlottesville.
Additional survivors include four grandchildren: Holly Baker and her husband, Richard; Ashby Carpenter and his wife, Jamie; Justin Boyd and his wife, Laurie, and Melissa Gray.
She is also survived by two sisters, Eva Karnes and her husband, Paul, and Edna Payne.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ashby Thornhill.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
