Virginia Mae "Ginny" Terry's Obituary
Virginia Mae "Ginny" Terry, born on November 14, 1941, in Herndon, Virginia, passed away on November 25, 2024.
Born to Paul Haywood Fitzgerald and Sallie Virginia Fitzgerald she was one of seven siblings and was raised on the family farm in Nokesville, Virginia. She had very fond memories of growing up on the farm and was very proud that there is now a road named after her family near where the farm stood.
Ginny was a devoted wife to the late William Frederick Terry, whom she married on May 23, 1958. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and her siblings, Paul Fitzgerald, Mamie Breeden, Richard Fitzgerald, Shirley Collins, and Ralph Fitzgerald. She is survived by her siblings, Barbara Merchant and Marian Eadie.
A loving mother, Ginny is survived by her children: Lance Terry, Tracy Terry, Toni Curtis, Wendy Edwards, and Adam Terry. Her legacy continues through her fourteen grandchildren and her many great-grandchildren, one of which is on the way, who were the light of her life. She lived and breathed for all of her babies and was happiest with a baby in her arms.
Her family is profoundly grateful for the life she gave them and the loving force she was in theirs. Virginia will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Until we meet again, mom, please know how much we all love and miss you. And as in your words to us, “I love you, honey”.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road. Fredericksburg, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Fairfax Memorial Park.
