Virginia May Snead's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Virginia Snead, a devoted wife, loving mother, and dear friend, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Virginia brought warmth, kindness, and joy to every life she touched. Her love for the outdoors was infectious-whether she was hiking a trail, pausing to capture the perfect photograph, or simply sitting in quiet appreciation of nature’s beauty, she found peace and inspiration in the natural world.
She was happiest with her family, whether sharing a home-cooked meal, exploring a new trail, or simply spending time together on quiet afternoons. Her laughter filled every room, and her strength was the foundation of her home. She nurtured her family with love, generosity, and unwavering support, always putting others before herself.
Virginia will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to those around her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean; and her brother, Kevin. She is survived by her devoted husband, James; her beloved children, Chuck (Sasha), Stephanie, and Brian; her grandchildren Elsa, Hunter, Jane, and Lincoln; her sister, Betty; her brothers, Thomas (Bridgett) and John; and her best friend, Cindi-all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where friends and loved ones are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the extraordinary woman she was.
