Virginia Piere Newell's Obituary
Virginia Piere Newell passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Carriage Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center in Fredericksburg, VA at the age of 91.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 71 years, David J. Newell, Jr., and an infant son, David Kenneth Newell.
The daughter of the late Harry and Edith Cubberley, Mrs. Newell was born and raised in Trenton, NJ where she also raised her own family. Until a year and a half ago, she had resided in Southampton, NJ for approximately 20 years.
Mrs. Newell leaves behind to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, James and Patricia Newell of Fredericksburg, VA; a son, Daniel C. Newell of Glendale, AZ; her daughter, Holly P. Newell and her companion, Tommy Breeding, both of Christiansburg, VA; two granddaughters, Heather C. Mendez and husband, Hugo Mendez of New Paltz, NY and Tiffany A. Newell of Fredericksburg, VA; two great-grandchildren, Aurora and CJ Mendez of New Paltz, NY; and her sister, Margaret DeMaskey of Vancouver, WA.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Found and Sons Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, VA (540-891-9735). There will be a private family viewing at the funeral home on Saturday, January 31, 2015. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in the Colonial Memorial Park in Trenton, NJ.
In lieu of flowers Virginia’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation, P. O. Box 214, Elizabeth, NJ 07027.
