Virginia Mae Clark's Obituary
On Monday, January 7, 2019, Virginia Mae (Holliday) Clark, a loving wife, mother of three, grandmother of four, and dear friend to many, left this world to join her Father in Heaven at the age of 78. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on August 24, 1940 to the late Ella Mae and James Holliday.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 58 years, James Carl Clark; her eldest daughter, Janet Binari, her husband, Mark and their two children, Joey and Johnny; her son, Jimmy Clark; and her youngest daughter, Patricia Scott and her two children, Rachelle and Alexis.
Jenny, as many called her, is also survived by her six sisters, Pat, Linda (John), Vena, Jimmie Lee (Roger), Sadie (Charles), and Birdie; and her only brother, Joseph (Tavie); along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Jenny grew up in a large household and has been known to put others before herself throughout her entire life. Thus, it was no surprise she felt called to a career as an LPN before she pursued an even greater occupation as a full time mother to her children.
Jenny had an incredible faith, which involved her reading her bible every day, praying for all of those in her life, and being actively involved in whatever church she happened to find amongst her travels with her husband Jim. Jim and Jenny had been traveling throughout the United States for most of their marriage, but even more so in the last 20 years.
Several other great passions of Jenny’s included bird watching and gardening. She has been known to completely transform gardens, including those of State Parks such as Westmoreland and Kiptopeke.
Jenny had the gentlest soul and became friends with anyone she crossed paths with. She leaves behind an incredible legacy of unwavering faith in God and a constant reminder to always treat people with the utmost kindness.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Goshen Baptist Church, 9800 Gordon Road in Spotsylvania.
