Virginia Ruth Brooks' Obituary
Virginia Ruth Brooks, 89, of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 at Golden Living.
Ruth was a lifelong member of Massaponax Baptist Church and attended Round Oak Baptist Church.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Roger Brooks of Hampton and Dana Brooks of Spotsylvania County; two nieces, Shirley Hayden and her husband, Cecil of Spotsylvania and Vernell Elliott of Fredericksburg; a nephew, Donald Seay and his wife, Sheryl of Spotsylvania and several other nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Horsely D. Brooks and her parents, Orion and Martha McWhirt.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg,. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Ruth’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Round Oak Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 129, Corbin, VA 22446.
