Violet Lynn Sprowls' Obituary
Violet Lynn Sprowls was born April 25, 1969 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late Mary Smith and Herman Moore, and her adoptive father, Richard Smith. Violet was proceeded in death by her parents Mary Smith and Herman Moore, adoptive father Richard Smith, her longtime companion, Lawrence (Lou) Sprowls, and daughter Lydia Smith. Violet was one of seven children, she had six sisters, Margie Hume, Goldie Streightiff, Betty Jacobs, Verna Hilton, Deborah McElraft Ray, and Mary Jane Settle. Violet departed her earthly life on December 26, 2021 in Manassas, Virginia.
Violet spent most of her life in Culpeper, Virginia where she loved to play bingo, console games, listening to music, and buying lottery tickets. Violet had a passion for being outdoors in the mountains, fresh flowers and loved animals. In 2021 Violet moved to Manassas, Virginia with her daughter, where she lived until her passing.
She leaves to cherish in her memory, four children, Scott Smith, Oliver Sprowls, Victoria Sprowls, and Lawrence Sprowls; five grandchildren, Jacia White, Trillian Coleman, Scott Smith, Issac Smith, and Jasmine Coleman, her six sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Preacher Charles Shifflett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
