Viola Weaver Settle Pullen's Obituary
Viola Weaver Settle Pullen, 81, of Rixeyville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at her residence. She was born on December 12, 1926 in Culpeper County to the late Jessie and Virginia Settle.
Mrs. Pullen was a member of Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking leisurely car rides and cherished spending time with her family. She will be missed dearly by all.
Mrs. Pullen is survived by her children, Charles F. “Buck” Pullen and his wife, Judy of Culpeper, Ruth Lois Nicholson and her husband, Sam of Leon, Patsy Woodward and her husband, Jerry of Rixeyville, Peggy Renninger and her husband, Tyrone of Blanken, William S. “Joe” Pullen, Thomas H. Pullen and his wife, Pat, Nancy V. Pullen, Kenny C. Pullen all of Rixeyville, David A. Pullen and his wife, Jeannie, Emma V. Pullen, Margaret M. Compton and her husband, David, all of Rixeyville, Jimmie E. Pullen and his wife, Teresa of Culpeper and Christopher L. Pullen and his wife, Paula of Orange.
Additional survivors include three sisters, Emma Jane Pullen of Culpeper, Ida M. Bailey and Helen M. Mills, both of Rixeyville, and one brother, George Settle of Culpeper, twenty grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie D. Pullen her son, Walter Raymond Pullen, sister, Louise Fincham and brother, Jimmie Settle.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 17, 2008 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Burke and Rev. Albert Payne officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charles Pullen, Jr., Gary Woodward, Josh Pullen, Bo Settle, Chris Gray, Sam Nicholson, Matt Cropp and William Cropp, II.
