Viletta Williams' Obituary
Viletta S. Williams, 98, of Spotsylvania County, Virginia was born June 23, 1927 to the late Archie and Alice Sample. She departed this life on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at her residence in Fredericksburg.
Viletta was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness serving God faithfully for 47 years. She was a humble, quiet and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wife. Viletta was educated through the Spotsylvania County Public School System and was employed at the University of Mary Washington.
Viletta leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Walter Williams, Sr. (Alice Williams); her daughter, Francine Bowman; devoted granddaughters, Violet Sample, Corletta Ashley (Norvell Ashley), and Felisha Williams; grandson, Walter Williams Jr.; great-grandchildren, Brianna Wooten, Walter, Dominic Williams, Xavier, Keana and Myles Keys, and Jordan Thompson, and Marcus Williams; sister-in-law, Ruth Williams (Elwood); with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60+ years, William Williams (they were devoted to each other); her sisters, Pansy Waters, and Wyoming Carter; and brothers, Neldover, Iowa, and Archie Junior.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA.
Viletta will be missed immensely by her family and friends.
