Vesta Painter's Obituary
Vesta A. Painter, age 88, of Manassas Park, passed away at Prince William Hospital on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Born July 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Amy Litten. She attended Loch Lomond Baptist Church and was an active member of the Manassas Park Seniors Club. Her hobbies included reading, exercising, and taking care of her beloved “Buddy” the Bird. Mrs. Painter was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Painter. Survivors include her daughters, Myra Gauthier of Virginia Beach, Dawn Roop and her husband Lloyd Roop of Manassas, two sons, Byron Painter and his wife Shirley of Catlett, Dwight Painter of the home, along with seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Lois Grim, of Mesa, Arizona and a niece and nephew. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 19, 2010, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home . Interment will take place at Bethel Lutheran Church, Edinburg, VA on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 3:00 PM.
