Vernon Lee Bourne Sr.'s Obituary
Vernon Lee Bourne, 79, of Woodford passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010, at Retreat Hospital, Richmond.
Mr. Bourne was a member of Knights of Pythias #22 and a Union Carpenter for 42 years.
He is survived by his loving companion, Anita Alsop of Fredericksburg, five sons, Vernon Jr. of Stafford County, Arthur of Essex County, L. Wayne, Terry and Henry Bourne of King George County; three sisters, Margie Shackleford, Charlotte Cooper, and Edna Wilson and his former wife, Geraldine Bourne of King George.
A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Virginia, 2120 L. Street, N.W., Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037 or a favorite charity.
