Vera Mae Nye's Obituary
Vera Mae Madison Nye, 95, died April 14, 2018 at her residence in Bealeton, VA. She was born April 27, 1922 in Woodbine, IA to the late Authur Wilmer and Mabel Beldon Madison.
Vera was a Lake of the Woods church member, a member of Culpeper United Methodist Church, and belonged to the Guild. Some of her loves in life were to travel and square and round dance.
Vera is survived by her children; Robert C. Nye and wife, Barbara of Bealeton, VA, Kathleen N. Domingue and husband, Richard of Oakgrove, OR, Marcia N. Spaid and her husband, Richard of Eglon, WV, and Sheila R. Nye of Nashville, TN, her grandchildren; Aaron B. Nye and wife, Jennifer, Susan J. McDonald and husband, Scott of Centreville, VA, Kristin D. Blasi and husband, Scott of Littleton, Co, Jules W. Domingue of Portland, OR, Sarah E. Spaid of Eglon, WV, Rebekah J. Spaid of Eglon, WV, John M Spaid and wife, Kasie of Aurora, WV, Isaiah A. Spaid of Eglon, WV, Emily Randalow of Nashville, TN, and Rachel Randalow of Nashville, TN, and great grandchildren; Jacob Nye, Hannah Nye, Alyssa Blasi, Evan Blasi, Levi Spaid, Samuel Spaid, and Damon McDonald, and one sister, Frances I. Madison Mensching of Mo. Valley, IA.
In addition to her parents, Vera is preceeded in death by her husband, Wallace Wesley Nye, her siblings; Howard L. Madison, Carl F. Madison, Lester O. Madison, Marie F. Madison- Willer, and Walter L. Madison, and grandchildren Paula Spaid and James Spaid.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, Culpeper, VA with Rev.
Jessie Colwell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests to make memorial donations in Vera’s name to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
